An online notary allows a document to be notarized by verifying an individual’s identity through a remote service. This requires the individual to have a government-issued ID that must be scanned and uploaded to verify the person’s identity.

After the form has been ID is verified and the document is signed, the signer will be required to pay a fee of $25 (which is the maximum amount that can be charged for a notary in most states).

Electronic Requirements (4)

  1. Valid E-Mail Address. To the document after the notarization is complete.
  2. A device with Audio and Visual features. This includes a webcam and microphone.
  3. Strong Internet Connection. 5 MB / second upload & 20 MB / second download (use SpeedTest.net to check).
  4. Access to Internet Browsers or Mobile Apps. Must be able to have use Chrome, FireFox, Safari or access to the Apple App Store or Android App Store.
